Visual Objective
2014. 5'x3.5'. Altered digital photograph.
What does the world look like to the retina before this information reaches the brain? Loss of color and form in the periphery, flipped upside down and backwards, with two blind spots where the optic nerve lies, this is a representation of the way the world actually looks, but because our brain fills in and smooths over the picture, the way we'll never be able to see it.
